The Long and Short of It
I aim to make daily experiences easier and more beautiful. Whether it's a memorable gallery installation, clear and accessible wayfinding, or a well-orchestrated set of tools for an in-house department, it’s paramount to understand how people perceive and use things. Even among similar project types, end-users can vary widely in terms of familiarity and comfort. The most effective solutions are approachable and almost always the easiest to use.
Foster and Support Excellence
Successful teams are built on respect and support. Giving credit, advocating for others, extending trust, and showing appreciation are critical in building a healthy team. I feel a strong sense of responsibility towards everyone I work with. In my experience, checking ego and prioritizing collective accomplishment is the fastest road to success.
Extracurricular
After many years in Boston, my wife and I now reside in Washington, DC. I enjoy walking aimlessly around the city to spot murals and small but thoughtful interventions. When I'm not in a bustling city, the ocean or a lake will do nicely. At home, I can usually be found at the grill, making cold brew coffee, or brewing kombucha while listening to something from the early 90s.
